
Ambassador: Dr. Isabel Balachandran
Dr. Balachandran was born in the UK, and spent her formative years in Canada. She completed her undergraduate training in Human Physiology at Boston University and medical school training at the University of Connecticut. After medical school, she returned to Boston to complete her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center BIDMC, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She plans to pursue a career in advanced heart failure and transplant medicine. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing music.

The CardioNerds Ambassadors are fellows nominated by CardioNerds fellowships to represent education at their program. They are an esteemed group of highly motivated individuals with a passion for education. The goal is to both:
- Ensure representation on the platform from their programs
- Foster their individual personal & professional development
The CardioNerds Healy Honor Roll is named after Dr. Bernadine Patricia Healy, a CardioNerd Hero who was the first female director of the National Institutes of Health and accomplished incredible achievements during her career.
