Ambassador: Dr. Jennifer (Jen) DeSalvo
Dr. Jen DeSalvo is a Cardiovascular Medicine fellow at The Ohio State University. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and completed her undergraduate, medical school, and Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency training and Internal Medicine Chief Resident year at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is planning to pursue additional training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and advanced imaging, with special interests in heart failure and transplant, cardio-obstetrics, and pulmonary hypertension and enjoys engaging in research, medical education, and advocacy opportunities within cardiology. Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time with family and friends including her husband and son, hiking in U.S. national parks and across the globe (most recently Patagonia), playing soccer, and listening to podcasts.

The CardioNerds Ambassadors are fellows nominated by CardioNerds fellowships to represent education at their program. They are an esteemed group of highly motivated individuals with a passion for education. The goal is to both:
- Ensure representation on the platform from their programs
- Foster their individual personal & professional development
The CardioNerds Healy Honor Roll is named after Dr. Bernadine Patricia Healy, a CardioNerd Hero who was the first female director of the National Institutes of Health and accomplished incredible achievements during her career.
