
Ambassador: Dr. Kara Lucchesi
Kara Harrison Lucchesi is a cardiology fellow at Georgetown Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. She earned her medical degree from University of Virginia and then stayed at University of Virginia for internal medicine residency and a chief resident year. Her current interests include general cardiology, heart failure medicine, health care equity and cost-conscious care. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors as much as possible.

The CardioNerds Ambassadors are fellows nominated by CardioNerds fellowships to represent education at their program. They are an esteemed group of highly motivated individuals with a passion for education. The goal is to both:
- Ensure representation on the platform from their programs
- Foster their individual personal & professional development
The CardioNerds Healy Honor Roll is named after Dr. Bernadine Patricia Healy, a CardioNerd Hero who was the first female director of the National Institutes of Health and accomplished incredible achievements during her career.
